For example, if your wedding dress is strapless, wear a rehearsal dinner dress with lace sleeves, one shoulder or an embellished neckline.

If you are ready to begin your search for the perfect wedding dress, consider a bridal trunk show. A trunk show is an event where a designer will display their newest line of dresses for the first time. These are usually dresses that are “on tour” and not part of the store’s regular inventory. Brides can schedule appointments, try on dresses and even meet the designer in some cases. Many stores give incentives for purchasing during a trunk show, such as a 10% discount (or more). Priscilla of Boston has produced and sold thousands of gorgeous wedding and bridesmaid dresses for the last 65 years. Some of the most famous dresses have been featured on the Today Show, Say Yes to the Dress and New York Fashion Week. The Priscilla brand shot to fame after making the bridesmaid dresses when actress Grace Kelly married the Prince Monaco in 1956. Priscilla also designed the wedding gowns for President Nixon’s daughters.

If you have questions about existing orders, they have answered the most frequently asked questions on their website. While the stores will be offically closing their doors on December 31st, they will still be accepting orders until September 12th.

In addition to fabulous wedding gowns, the boutique will sell lingerie, shoes, jewelry, special occasion dresses, accessories and décor, which means non-brides can also shop at the boutique. We can’t wait to road trip south and see all the goodies in person!
