We stumbled across this fun DIY project featured on Style Me Pretty and just had to share. It could make the perfect favor for a wedding shower, rehearsal dinner or even reception. Enjoy!

Here’s what you will need:

Tissue paper roll

Double sided tape

Scissors

1.75 x 5 piece of cardscotck

Ribbon

Page of crepe paper

Candy or stuffing items

Step One: Place double sided tape onto the crepe paper and place the tissue paper roll on the tape. Roll the tissue paper roll across the crepe paper and apply tape at the end of the paper to secure.

Step Two: Twist one end of the crepe paper and sure with a ribbon. Tie the ribbon in a bow.

Step Three: Fill the tissue paper roll with candy, confetti or whatever filling items you desire.

Step Four: Twist the other end of the crepe paper and tie ribbon in a bow.

Step Five: Fold the cardstock and cute the edge at an angle to create a “flag” look. Once cut, add your message and attach tag to the finished roll.

Now, you have a the perfect (and super easy) DIY favor for your guests. Happy crafting!

Think chocolate peanut butter, pink cotton candy or southwest jalapeno — your guests will love this stuff!

2. Chocolate Covered Pretzels: Chocolate is always a crowd favorite, but be careful how you transport it in warmer months. Pairing a small amount of chocolate with a salty pretzel gives you a dessert you won’t feel guilty about. You can provide a variety of toppings from nuts to sprinkles, allowing your guests to pick their favorite.

3. Homemade Treats: Give your guests something really special by making it yourself! This can be anything from homemade jam or mini pies to home-brewed beer. Also consider including the recipe so guests can enjoy your goodies anytime. Be sure to allow plenty of time for creation and packaging.

Remember, any favor you leave your guests, edible or other, should be meaningful and useful. Try to avoid trinkets and items that create a lot of waste.

Simply gather your materials and your girlfriends and get the assembly line going. First, stamp each box while still in sheets—be sure to stamp the side with the tabs so that the ribbon lays over your monogram. After the ink has dried, punch out your boxes and ribbon holes (sheets come perforated) and cut the ribbon into 9 inch pieces. Now, fold and fill each box with 5 almonds (for health, wealth, happiness, fertility, and longevity). Seal it shut by threading ribbon through the holes and tying a bow.
