Pomander Ball Wedding Inspiration

Pomander balls, or kissing balls, are not just for flower girls anymore. While they are still super cute and easy to hold for little girls, you can also use them in many other areas of your wedding. Check out our ideas.

Let your maids get in on the fun too! By using pomanders instead of bouquets, you get all the color and floral you want with no stems. They are also great if you like the look of a perfectly round arrangement. Your girls will love holding a single ribbon down the aisle.

Add them to your reception decor. Using a variety of sizes, pomander balls are a great addition to your table decor, both sitting on the table or hanging from a stand or branch.

Use them for aisle decor. Pomanders are great for hanging from ceremony chairs. Want less color? Your pomanders can be covered in moss with as many or as few blooms as you desire.

We hope you feel inspired to add pomander balls to your wedding decor. They can even be made of tissue paper and used at bridal showers and bachelorette parties.

Newlymaid Bridesmaid Dress Recycle

Do you have bridesmaid dresses hanging in your closet that you will never wear again? Now, we have the answer for you! Newlymaid is a website that takes your old bridesmaid dresses and gives you a little black dress. The best part is, instead of throwing the bridesmaid dress away or letting it hang in your closet forever, Newlymaid recycles your dress or donates it to charity. Finally, you can feel good about getting a little black dress.

Newlymaid asks that you search your closet and send in an old bridesmaid dress based on their criteria. Once the dress is received and inspected, you will be notified via email of the special pricing available for you. Once you log on to newlymaid.com, you can unlock the special pricing and shop for your new fabulous black dress.

Your bridesmaid dress will then be recycled, if possible, or donated to a charity that can use and distribute the material around the world. More details found here.

For more information about Newlymaid, please visit their website.

Nan and Kyle’s Hickory Street Annex Wedding

Nan Koziolek and Kyle Ross were married on October 21, 2012 at Hickory Street Annex. They met at work and almost instantly fell in love. It was an intimate wedding of 60 guests, filled with antique touches and home-made crafts.

We loved every bit of the 10 months spent planning this wedding, especially the meaning behind every detail. Nan’s parents’ wedding color was yellow and Kyle’s parents’ was blue, which is how they landed on both yellow and blue — so sweet.

Nan and Kyle honeymooned in St. Martin where they snorkeled and enjoyed the beach. Congratulations to the lovely couple!

Early on in the planning of our wedding, even though it was going to be small, we realized we needed a planner to pull everything together, and really let ourselves and our family relax and enjoy the engagement and the wedding. Choosing Elizabeth as our planner was THE best decision and investment that we made during the whole wedding process. From the start, she seemed like a trusted friend, and I was comfortable and confident in all of her suggestions she made for vendors. Plus, she just seemed to get our style and how we wanted to wedding to look and feel from the get-go and all her recommendations for vendors were spot on to match what we were envisioning. Planning the wedding was literally stress-free due to her organizing, and the wedding itself turned out to be even better than I could imagine. Working with Elizabeth and After Yes was like working with a friend, and I would highly recommend her to anyone!
